Today the world is striving to find a solution...a solution for global warming and the creation of a sustainable future for the planet.

The world and its elements are Mike Horn’s playground, his lifeblood and his passion. Perhaps more than any human being, during his two decades of exploration, Mike has seen more of the earth and over this period he has personally witnessed the profound and alarming changes in the environment. Consequently, Mike has committed to lend his unique experience and expertise to motivate solutions for the challenges the planet faces.

Mike Horn says: “Caring for our life source has become an absolute necessity for every human being. The problem today is that we are loosing contact with nature, forgetting its beauty and most importantly, its overwhelming power. We have lost respect for nature and with that we are loosing hope. We must now all accept our responsibilities and by working  together with ingenuity, drive and courage, we can complement each other and find new inspiration, hope and ambition.  Together we can tap the world’s most powerful energy source – the younger generation – to help them find solutions.”

Mike Horn is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest modern day explorers.  His amazing journeys have brought him world renown and made him a spokesman, who is respected and listened to by young people, who are the future of our planet.

Many years ago Mike Horn decided that he would dedicate his life to exploring the natural world and then share his knowledge with young people, but to do this, he first of all needed the experience.

Mike began this journey by setting challenges for himself - swimming the rivers, sailing the oceans, surviving alone in  different environments and in extreme  weather conditions, confronting all elements of nature and continually pushing himself to his physical and mental limits. Today having accomplished his personal exploration goals, Mike feels its is his duty to share his immense experience and passion for nature. Not to become a name in the history books, but to create awareness and educate today’s youth; so that future generations can be motivated, educated, and inspired to actively find solutions to help the environment and the world in which we live.

Mike Horn calls his dream the 'Pangaea Expedition'. With the help of caring supporters, Mike has been able to build a boat, Pangaea, which will be used as a platform from which young adults can experience and explore the natural world, learn about the challenges we face and the possible solutions, and most importantly act to change things for the better. This dream has taken Mike Horn years to realize, but it is now becoming a reality from which Mike can do his part to instill his passion and wonderment for the natural world in today’s youth.

As Mike Horn says: ‘This is a journey we will take together, fuelled simply by mutual passion and common goals. And while the challenges we face seem insurmountable I believe we must begin to take real steps towards ensuring our planet can be respected and appreciated by all future generations.’
