1. The most important life lesson I learnt from Mike was ...

The most important life lesson I learnt from Mike was that nothing is impossible until we say it is. Thanks to him, I am sure, and keen to be able to reach my goals in life now.

2. What will change in your life after this experience?

I will have a different view on nature, and take a closer look on all the small and big beautiful facets of our world; trying to conserve the beauty of our planet has become a central part of my life and thoughts.

3. The best part of this adventure was …

The best part of this adventure was our navigation through ‘Humphrey Strait’ at night in the rubber dinghy. It felt great to be connected that closely to both nature and my fellow Young Explorers. Because it was so dark we had to concentrate much more than usual to see properly, but I did concentrate and there was so much to hear. I felt overwhelmed by all the impressions I perceived. When the sun rose we could finally see the fog around the mangrove roots and the dense jungle on both riverbanks. The beauty again was indescribable and overwhelming.

4. The worst was …

The worst was seeing the plastic and garbage on the beautiful, remote beaches and coral reefs, and feeling helpless at the thought of a plastic accumulation of Mexico’s size swimming in our ocean.

5. What will you miss most when you leave?

Mainly, I will miss everybody else on the boat and never being alone.
I am so glad to have met all those wonderful people on this wonderful boat in this wonderful place. It is so great that we did all those amazing, and exciting things together and to help rescuing our earth. Briefly, I will miss life on Pangaea, with everything included.

6. What did you learn from...

Catherine: I learnt from Catherine that you can, and should take charge of your life yourself- she already has been everywhere and decided to design her studies herself!
Valentina:
I learnt from Valentina that speaking four languages perfectly, and having the most interesting things to tell in each of them is possible- that is my goal now!
Manuel: I learnt from Manuel that great knowledge is not always connected with boldness, and that to hear the truth, we sometimes have to listen to the more silent voices.
Reuben: I learnt from Reuben how a strong ambition can be part of a very pleasant and sociable character as enrichment instead of a flaw.
Mark: I learnt from Mark that people can have two completely different but equally stunning sides, one funny, crazy, and lovely- and one hard-working, serious, and brilliant side.
Elena: I learnt from Elena to always try to overcome my fears and to step out of my comfort zone for new experiences- how she finally managed all the diving was impressive.
Florence: I learnt from Florence that patience, kindness and helpfulness are equal ways to fighting in order to reach your goals.
Paridhi: I learnt from Paridhi that being the smallest has nothing to do with being the weakest, and that a big mouth is not always something negative but can be a strong point.

7. As a Pangaea ambassador, I would like to …

As a Pangaea ambassador, I would like to help people to appreciate and protect nature and to have a life strongly connected to it, as well as to motivate others to participate in the Young Explorers Program or to find their own ways to help our planet and live a responsible life.

8. What is your life philosophy?

My life philosophy is that I want so experience as much as I can in my life and try to see things as I see them without being prejudiced, and that I want to give the world a setoff for the privileged life it has given to me.

9. What was the most useful thing you brought on expedition?

This is a hard question for me, but I think the most useful thing I brought on the expedition was my ability to keep the group together without polarizing.

10. This is what made me laugh the most …

What made me laugh the most were Mike’s stories about the musk oxen’s (arctic animals) behavior, our warm-up exercises before diving, and the ‘Moose Cut’, our cameraman’s outtakes of the footage about our expedition.

11. What got you through the expedition?

I hardly needed anything to get me through this expedition except my own motivation and the example of Mike, having done and succeeded in all those incredible tasks. And Cathy’s delicious food also helped me of course!

12. The five words that describe me are:

I am optimistic, kindly, hard-working, thoughtful, and active.
