organised by Romeo Wong (Pangaea Kamchatka Selection Camp YEP)

with Jun Li (Pangaea New Zealand Expedition YEP), Zhixin Ee (Pangaea Kamchatka Selection Camp YEP) and Gregory Antono (Pangaea USA Selection Camp YEP)

The following activities are planned:

Pangaea Urban Raid

We will walk along in the urban area in Hong Kong during the Christmas eve. During our route, we will spread our Pangaea promotion flyers to young people in the local community and selling our postcards as well as Leni’s calendar for 2012.

Apart from the that, we will also want to spread our message of anti-sharkfinning campaign during our young explorer meeting. The activities include helping asking people to sign the pledge cards from sharksavers and taking photo of dried seafood street in Shang Wan, Hong Kong.

In the night, we will have a Christmas party and a conversation among official young explorers to discuss certain Pangaea projects and promote the Pangaea projects to the local region.

Promotion of not to have sharkfin

After the meeting in Christmas eve, we may have another activity which urges couples getting married not to have sharkfin soup in their wedding which is a common tradition in Hong Kong in wedding. We may show the shocking photos about shark-finning industry borrowed from sharksaver in street-display and explain to couples why it is important not to include sharkfin soup in the wedding. The event will take place near bridal veil shops so that we will have better chance to meet the new couples.
