Pangaea Green Wave Project

The concept of Pangaea Green Wave Project is very simple. During one day, Young Explorers from all over the world inspire their families, friends and even strangers to join a short action with long-term effects.
The first Green Wave took place on Earth Cleanup Day on September 25, 2010 during which nine teams of YEPs took part from Germany, Poland, Argentina, USA, South Africa, and Malaysia for a daily cleanup activity. The second Green Wave took place on June 5, 2011 when Pangaea representatives planted trees worldwide, each between 15 – 16 o’clock in their respective time zone. In this manner, we had a complete 24-hour tree planting event spreading around the globe over 24 hours. The third Green Wave's theme was 'Goodbye to Garbage' on September 21, 2011 and 11 teams organised different cleanup or trash awareness events around the world.

We realised that environmental needs in countries around the world differ a lot… We hence decided to give our Pangaea Green Wave Projects a theme, which can be interpreted by Young Explorers from different places all over the world and adapted to local conditions and needs.
Therefore, join us during the upcoming Green Waves in 2011/2012:
- December 2011 Solstice Green Wave Project - Food on December 21, 2011
- March 2012 Equinox Green Wave Project - Social on March 21, 2012
- June 2012 Solstice Green Wave Project - Water on June 21, 2012
- September 2012 Equinox Green Wave Project - Goodbye to Garbage on September 21, 2012
