For these reasons, and as well as the friendship that was developed, M. Miauton decided to support the adventurer in his expeditions (North Pole Winter Expedition in 2006, Himalaya in 2007 and Pangaea in 2008)-
Mr Jean-Jacques Miauton was inspired be the mental force that Mike Horn has in both his personal and professional life. To engage in such amazing expeditions right until the end, or to run a company are two very similar activities

Miauton SA
A family business created in 1880, which is today run by the forth generation, Miauton S.A. is active in the distribution of metal products, building technology and tools for the building professionals. Miauton is a branch of the Groupe CRHGétaz, which has today 110 distributaries and 2'600 collaborators. The group is amongst the leaders in Suisse on the construction and industry market.
Pangaea, an educational environmental project
Pangaea, an educational project creating awareness about the environment and about important themes relating to the environment. These are also the priorities and philosophy of the Group and its current engagements. The Group is also now working in collaboration with Prof. Suren Erkman, a specialist in industrial ecology, and who, since March 2005, has joined the IPTEH, where he runs the group " Industrial Ecology ".
It is also on supporting such an expedition as Pangaea that M. J.- J. Miauton is hoping to create awareness in his 2600 workers and his clientel about the importance of the natural resources of our planet.
